Client stories

What our clients say

โ€œSetting up our Free Zone company was straightforward, but the accounting side was a mess until The Accntnt stepped in. They sorted our books on Zoho, got us registered for Corporate Tax before the deadline, and now we get monthly reports that actually make sense. Their knowledge of DMCC requirements specifically saved us a lot of headaches during our first audit.โ€

โ€œWe run three restaurant branches across Dubai and the VAT reconciliation alone was taking us days every quarter. The Accntnt automated the whole process, handles our FTA filings, and even helped us claim back input VAT we had been missing. Professional, responsive, and they genuinely understand F&B accounting.โ€

AR

Ahmed R.

๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ช UAE

โ€œAs a freelancer on a Dubai mainland licence, I had no idea what my Corporate Tax obligations were. The Accntnt assessed my situation, confirmed I qualified for small business relief, and filed everything properly. They also handle my monthly bookkeeping on Tally so I never have to worry about falling behind. Exactly what I needed.โ€

PM

Priya M.

๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ช UAE

โ€œWe moved our e-commerce business from the UK to a Dubai Free Zone and the accounting transition was seamless thanks to The Accntnt. They already knew our books from the UK side, set up our UAE entity on QuickBooks, handled the Corporate Tax registration, and now manage both our VAT returns and monthly bookkeeping. Having one firm across both jurisdictions is invaluable.โ€

OS

โ€œHaving The Accntnt handle our CIS returns and WIP reporting has been a game changer. We used to dread the monthly HMRC filing, but now everything is verified, filed on time, and we get proper work-in-progress schedules across all our projects. They even caught retainage discrepancies from our old accountant. Worth every penny.โ€

SA

โ€œRunning a business in Dubai as a UK expat means navigating two completely different tax systems. The Accntnt handles both sides for me: my UAE corporate tax and my UK Self Assessment as a non-resident landlord. I used to have two separate accountants and things kept falling through the cracks. Now it is all in one place, nothing gets missed, and I actually understand what I owe and why.โ€

M

Managing Director, Logistics & Shipping

โ€œThe Accntnt completely streamlined our finances. As a 3D design studio, our project billing and software subscriptions were all over the place. They got everything onto one platform, automated our invoicing, and now I get monthly reports that actually make sense. The team understands creative businesses and does not try to fit you into a generic template.โ€

U

โ€œAs a landlord with multiple properties, my SA returns used to be a nightmare. The Accntnt sorted everything out, explained Section 24 properly, and even advised me on whether incorporating made sense. They are responsive, clear, and actually care about getting you the right result. I have recommended them to three other landlords already.โ€

RP

Raj P.

Property Investor, Private Portfolio

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง UK

โ€œWe needed proper management accounts with commentary our board could actually understand. The Accntnt delivers monthly P&L, cash flow, and KPI dashboards with written insights. It completely changed how we make decisions. The quarterly review calls are genuinely useful, not just a box-ticking exercise.โ€

SL

Sarah L.

Operations Director, Professional Services

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง UK

โ€œRunning an Amazon store across UK and EU was a VAT nightmare before The Accntnt stepped in. They set up A2X, sorted out my EU registrations, handled the OSS filings, and now everything reconciles automatically each month. I was overpaying VAT without even knowing it. They saved me thousands in the first quarter alone.โ€

MK

Maria K.

โ€œOur payroll was a mess: late RTI submissions, auto-enrolment errors, and we had already been fined twice. The Accntnt took over, fixed the backlog, and now payroll runs like clockwork every month. Payslips are out on time, pensions are managed, and I do not have to think about it. Exactly what you want from a payroll service.โ€

FAQ

Questions we get asked a lot

The UAE introduced a 9% corporate tax on business profits exceeding AED 375,000 from June 2023. All mainland and Free Zone companies need to register with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), even if no tax is due. Free Zone companies may qualify for a 0% rate on qualifying income. We handle registration, return preparation, and compliance for both mainland and Free Zone businesses.

Free Zone companies must register for Corporate Tax, but they may benefit from a 0% rate on qualifying income if they meet certain conditions (substance requirements, no election to be taxed at standard rates, adequate transfer pricing documentation). Non-qualifying income is taxed at 9%. We assess your specific situation and advise on how to maximise your qualifying income exemption.

UAE VAT is 5% (compared to 20% in the UK). The registration threshold is AED 375,000 of taxable supplies (mandatory) or AED 187,500 (voluntary). VAT returns are filed quarterly or monthly depending on your FTA registration. We handle VAT returns for businesses in both the UK and UAE and can advise on cross-border transactions.

Even as a UAE resident, you may still have UK tax obligations if you have UK rental income, UK capital gains on property, or UK-sourced employment income. Non-resident landlords must register with the HMRC Non-Resident Landlord Scheme. We handle both your UAE and UK compliance so nothing falls through the cracks.

We recommend Xero or QuickBooks Online for most UAE businesses. Both support AED, multi-currency transactions, and FTA-compliant VAT reporting. We set up and manage your cloud accounting as part of our service, connecting bank feeds and automating as much as possible.

We can prepare payroll calculations and reports for WPS compliance. WPS submission typically requires integration with your bank, which we can guide you through. We ensure your payroll calculations are accurate, end-of-service gratuity provisions are maintained, and all records meet Ministry of Human Resources requirements.

Many Free Zones require audited financial statements for licence renewal. Mainland companies above certain thresholds may also need them for Corporate Tax purposes. Even if not required, having clean, IFRS-compliant financial statements is good practice for banking, investment, and compliance. We prepare audit-ready accounts and can coordinate with approved auditors.

Book a free consultation through our website. We will discuss your business structure, current accounting setup, and compliance requirements. After the call, we send a clear proposal with fixed pricing. Onboarding is fully remote and typically takes one to two weeks. We work across all UAE time zones and are available on WhatsApp for quick queries.
