Client stories
What our clients say
βAs a landlord with multiple properties, my SA returns used to be a nightmare. The Accntnt sorted everything out, explained Section 24 properly, and even advised me on whether incorporating made sense. They are responsive, clear, and actually care about getting you the right result. I have recommended them to three other landlords already.β
Raj P.
Property Investor, Private Portfolio
π¬π§ UKβWe needed proper management accounts with commentary our board could actually understand. The Accntnt delivers monthly P&L, cash flow, and KPI dashboards with written insights. It completely changed how we make decisions. The quarterly review calls are genuinely useful, not just a box-ticking exercise.β
Sarah L.
Operations Director, Professional Services
π¬π§ UKβRunning an Amazon store across UK and EU was a VAT nightmare before The Accntnt stepped in. They set up A2X, sorted out my EU registrations, handled the OSS filings, and now everything reconciles automatically each month. I was overpaying VAT without even knowing it. They saved me thousands in the first quarter alone.β
Maria K.
Founder, E-Commerce & Retail
π¬π§ UKβOur payroll was a mess β late RTI submissions, auto-enrolment errors, and we had already been fined twice. The Accntnt took over, fixed the backlog, and now payroll runs like clockwork every month. Payslips are out on time, pensions are managed, and I do not have to think about it. Exactly what you want from a payroll service.β
David P.
Director, Recruitment Agency
π¬π§ UKβHaving The Accntnt handle our CIS returns and WIP reporting has been a game changer. We used to dread the monthly HMRC filing, but now everything is verified, filed on time, and we get proper work-in-progress schedules across all our projects. They even caught retainage discrepancies from our old accountant. Worth every penny.β
Saad Ahmad
Director, Construction & Trades
π¬π§ UKβRunning a business in Dubai as a UK expat means navigating two completely different tax systems. The Accntnt handles both sides for me β my UAE corporate tax and my UK Self Assessment as a non-resident landlord. I used to have two separate accountants and things kept falling through the cracks. Now it is all in one place, nothing gets missed, and I actually understand what I owe and why.β
Mohammad
Managing Director, Logistics & Shipping
π¦πͺ UAEβThe Accntnt completely streamlined our finances. As a 3D design studio, our project billing and software subscriptions were all over the place. They got everything onto one platform, automated our invoicing, and now I get monthly reports that actually make sense. The team understands creative businesses and does not try to fit you into a generic template.β
Usman
Creative Director, 3D Design & Software
π¬π§ UKβSetting up our Free Zone company was straightforward, but the accounting side was a mess until The Accntnt stepped in. They sorted our books on Zoho, got us registered for Corporate Tax before the deadline, and now we get monthly reports that actually make sense. Their knowledge of DMCC requirements specifically saved us a lot of headaches during our first audit.β
Fatima A.
Co-Founder, Digital Marketing Agency
π¦πͺ UAEβWe run three restaurant branches across Dubai and the VAT reconciliation alone was taking us days every quarter. The Accntnt automated the whole process, handles our FTA filings, and even helped us claim back input VAT we had been missing. Professional, responsive, and they genuinely understand F&B accounting.β
Ahmed R.
Operations Director, Restaurant & Hospitality
π¦πͺ UAEβAs a freelancer on a Dubai mainland licence, I had no idea what my Corporate Tax obligations were. The Accntnt assessed my situation, confirmed I qualified for small business relief, and filed everything properly. They also handle my monthly bookkeeping on Tally so I never have to worry about falling behind. Exactly what I needed.β
Priya M.
Independent Consultant, Self-Employed
π¦πͺ UAEβWe moved our e-commerce business from the UK to a Dubai Free Zone and the accounting transition was seamless thanks to The Accntnt. They already knew our books from the UK side, set up our UAE entity on QuickBooks, handled the Corporate Tax registration, and now manage both our VAT returns and monthly bookkeeping. Having one firm across both jurisdictions is invaluable.β

FAQ
Questions we get asked a lot
You are not legally required to hire an accountant, but it is almost always worth it. A good accountant will make sure you claim all allowable expenses, file on time, and pay the right amount of tax. Most sole traders save more in tax than they spend on fees. We offer fixed-price Self Assessment packages starting from Β£300 per year.
The Self Assessment tax year runs from 6 April to 5 April. The deadline for online filing is 31 January following the end of the tax year. For example, for the 2024/25 tax year, you must file by 31 January 2026. Payments on account may also be due on 31 January and 31 July. We recommend getting your return done early to avoid last-minute stress and to plan for any tax bill.
Absolutely. We are a cloud-first practice and work with clients across the UK entirely online. We use Xero, QuickBooks, and secure document-sharing platforms so you never need to visit an office. You can upload documents from your phone, and we schedule calls at times that suit you.
Making Tax Digital is HMRC's initiative to move tax administration online. MTD for VAT is already mandatory for all VAT-registered businesses. MTD for Income Tax Self Assessment (MTD ITSA) is being phased in from April 2026 for those with income over Β£50,000. We use MTD-compatible software and will make sure you are ready well before the deadlines.
We use fixed pricing for everything. You will know exactly what you are paying before we start any work. No hourly rates, no hidden extras, no surprises. We confirm your fee after a free initial consultation where we assess your needs. Packages can be paid monthly by direct debit to spread the cost.
Yes, you can switch at any time. We handle the transition for you, including contacting your previous accountant for a professional clearance and handover of records. There is no bad time to switch β the sooner you move, the sooner we can start keeping your books in order.
We primarily work with Xero and QuickBooks Online. Both are cloud-based, MTD-compliant, and accessible from anywhere. We are Xero Certified Advisors and QuickBooks ProAdvisors. If you are on a different platform, we can discuss migration or work with your existing setup where it makes sense.
Yes. We provide full payroll management including RTI submissions to HMRC, auto-enrolment pension setup, payslips, P60s, P45s, and P11Ds. Pricing starts from Β£5 per employee per month. We can also set up your workplace pension scheme if you have not done so already.
